Cocoa and chocolate are temperature-sensitive products. Depending on the product, the ideal transport temperature is between 40 and 50°C. Our tank trailers can be heated to ensure that chocolate and cocoa are transported at precisely the right temperature.
Our specialist drivers constantly monitor the temperature during loading, transport and unloading. This gives our clients the guarantee that cocoa mass and cocoa butter are transported in the optimal conditions in our insulated tank trailers to maintain quality.

We transport cocoa mass and cocao butter from major cocoa processing regions such as the Zaanstreek in the Netherlands and the regions of Hamburg and Berlin in Germany , throughout Europe, but especially to Switzerland. These ingredients are used in products such as chocolate bars, chocolates, biscuits and ice creams. Our specially heated and insulated trailers are used to transport:

As a producer, you need the assurance that we will load at the agreed times. As a customer, you need to depend on the timely delivery of your shipment of chocolate and cacao. To provide those guarantees, we monitor our trailers in real time.
This enables us to inform you about the status of your load, the expected arrival time of a trailer and notify you proactively if there are any unexpected changes. If you wish, you can also follow the load real-time (track and trace) via your Transport Management System (TMS) and the GPS data of our trucks.

Food safe transport is essential in liquid food transport. We have our own modern cleaning stations In Zaandam and Bleskensgraaf where we clean our tankers and tank containers.
Wemmers has all the necessary certificates. We have been awarded EFTCO Food Assessment: a certificate that approves our tank cleaning station in compliance with the standards for food products in Europe. We are also members of the Association of Tank Cleaning Companies Netherlands (ATCN): a network of certified cleaning stations in the Netherlands.
