Satisfied with new FrieslandCampina trailer

May 2013

Royal FrieslandCampina works closely with Wemmers to make sure that transports proceed as efficiently as possible. Within the comprehensive sustainability programme of FrieslandCampina special attention is paid to reducing CO2 emissions. The purchase of new equipments fits into this proactive appraoch.

Herjon Conen, Manager Intra Transport at FrieslandCampina: "The new Dedicated Intra Trailer was delivered today and will be deployed for transportation between the locations of FrieslandCampina as soon as possible. For sustainability, we also observe the central idea that the lower the tare weight of the trailer, the larger it is, the fewer rides we have to make, and smaller our CO2 footprint is. Hence this step"

He continues: "Sinces the start of our collaboration in 2010, Wemmers delivers the quality we expect, and usually more. They are flexible, experts in the food sector and they think along with us." The first consultation on this new vehicle took place in autumn 2012. Shortly after that, Wemmers ordered the trailer, which perfectly meets all FrieslandCampina's requirements and transports 37,000 liter.
